A website and a business system are different briefs

A corporate website explains the business and gives someone a way to enquire. A CRM, HR system, or ERP is where the work itself is recorded. They can share a brand and a login later, but they should not be specified as if they were the same project.

Start with the action a visitor or an employee needs to finish. If that action is public and mostly reads information, it belongs on the website. If it creates a customer record, an order, or a staff workflow, it belongs in a business system, with the website linking to it.
